【学术成就】

l  主要从事数字通信与网络技术、宽带综合业务接入网技术和光电传感网络技术等方面的研究和教学工作。2006年获上海市科技领军人才称号。

 

获奖情况:

l  2008年“兼容IPv6的宽带接入汇聚与服务系统”获上海市科技进步一等奖

l  2000年“电缆调制解调器(Cable Modem)的研究”获上海市科技进步三等奖

l  1992年“高等级道路监控系统模拟研究”获上海市科技进步二等奖

 

科研成果:

l  19971999年主持完成了国家863“九五”重大项目全业务网(FSN)多媒体系统,主要研究基于HFC网络的多媒体接入系统。

l  19992000年分别主持完成了教育部高等学校骨干教师资助计划“ADSL Modem产业化技术研究”和上海市科技成果转化项目“电缆调制解调器的产业化研究”,研制出我国第一代DOCSIS Cable ModemADSL Modem

l  20012003年主持完成了上海市“十五”重大科技攻关项目“蓝牙应用技术研究”,主要针对基于Bluetooth技术规范的无线HomeNet进行研究,成功研制出了通用蓝牙模块,实现了与广域网的连接,取得了创新性的成果

l  20052007年主持完成了上海市“十一五”重大科技攻关项目“基于IPv6的宽带接入、汇聚与服务系统研究 突破了EPON系统中的关键理论和技术问题,满足电信级QoS要求、兼容IPv6协议,达到了国际先进水平。

近年来主要在光纤宽带接入、蓝牙无线接入应用技术、 超宽带(UWB)无线通信、基于IPv6的宽带接入汇聚与服务系统、光纤传感网络等方面做出了一批卓有成效的成果。

Academic Accomplishments:

His research and teaching are mainly in the areas of digital communications and network technologies, broadband integrated services access technologies, and optical sensor network technologies. He awarded “Leading Talents of Science and Technology” of Shanghai Municipality in 2006

Awards achieved

l  First Grade Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Shanghai Municipality in 2008 with “Broadband access convergence and service systems compatible with IPV6”

l  Third Grade Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Shanghai Municipality in 2000 with “Research on Cable Modem”

l  Second Grade Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Shanghai Municipality in 1992 with “Research on the Simulation of Monitoring Systems for High-Grade Roads”

 

Research Achievements

l  Completed the research project of “Multimedia Systems of FSN”, a National High Tech Development “863” Project of the Ninth Five-Year Plan, as the Principle Investigator in 19971999. The project is mainly about the multimedia access systems based on HFC, and was checked as “Ab” grade upon its completion.

l  Completed research projects of “Research on ADSL Modem industrialized technologies”, a funding scheme of the Ministry of Education for Outstanding Teachers in Colleges and Universities, and “Research on Cable Modem industrialized technologies”, a Scientific and Technological Achievements Conversion Project of Shanghai Municipality, as the principle investigator in 19992000. Designed and industrialized the first generation DOCSIS Cable Modem and ADSL Modem in China.

l  Completed research project of “Research on the applications of Bluetooth techniques” as the principle investigator, a major scientific and technological project of Shanghai Municipality of the “Tenth Five-Year Plan” in 20012003. Researches have been carried out mainly on the technical specifications of Bluetooth in wireless HomeNet. Bluetooth modules have been designed, and connections to WAN have been made successfully.

l  Completed research project of “Broadband access, convergence and service systems based on IPV6” as the principle investigator, a major scientific and technological project of Shanghai Municipality of the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” in 20052007. Key theoretical and technological problems of EPON systems have been solved, QoS demands of telecom grade have been satisfied, and compatible with IPV6 protocols.

Great achievements have been obtained by Professor Wang in optical fiber broadband access, Bluetooth wireless access technologies, UWB wireless communications, broadband access convergence and service systems based on IPV6, and optical fiber sensor networks in recent years.

 

Other Professional Activities:

Member of Science and Technology Commission of Ministry of Education, Senior member of Chinese Institute of Electronics, Vice-chairman of Shanghai Institute of Electronics, Executive director of Shanghai Institute of Communications, Director of Shanghai Association of Information Science.
